Outreach update 2011 Monday morning was the cut off day as we were ment to take off to the Gold coast. Over the weekend we looked at cars and Bonnie and I both felt good about one car and we handed it to the Lord. The Toowoomba Salvation Army brothers and Sisters took up a car fund for us plus more funds came from other people. God blessed us with a Mazda 2 neo and it,s a 2007 model with only 58000 ks on it. We belive because we stayed true to our ministry, God was blessed and in return blessed us. It's a lesson we all can learn. Stay true to your calling no matter what and just trust he is taking care of all other things around you.

As a team of 12 we got on so well together without any problems and that is greatly thanks to our wonderful leaders John and Anne Mann. Opportunities were given to minister and share the Gospel to the Aboriginal people and God surely moved. The Sunday services were the start of a move of the Holy Spirit. Adam shared in the morning service and myself at the night service. Once we gave people a chance to take a stand for Christ and come forward for prayer, they did, With some falling in the Spirit and others just wanting prayer. The kids in the evening service were just beautiful. I did a couple of little illusions and the whites of there eyes enlarged with amazement. It's a way to get a simple message of Christ into their ears and into their hearts at the same time. The following night we were driven out to a community called Luma, driven by Pastor Warren in his monster bus and at the time we didn't know it could fly and neither did he! On the dirt road we hit this dirt mound that was very hard and the bus was in the air for about 4 seconds. We were all flying around in it and then landed with a great thud and it kept going with out any hesitation. Us guys were laughing and loving it while the girls, well that's another story. Just to say NOT HAPPY JAN.
What an amazing time. On the way home we ran out of money and at the right time some friends (we do not know who you were) donated finances into our account and it came at the right time, the right day and the right amount to get back to Canberra.
Thank you so much.'
My next trips are Qld in September and Victoria in November/December so stay tuned.
Blessing,Joy and peace into your life. Dallas

Greetings friends once again.
2010
A few days later we finally arrived in Kalgoorlie, ready to set up for the 20 minute comedy section I had at the Out of the Pit conference put on by Christians to reach the miners in the area with the Gospel. Yes, I know it was a long way to go for a 20 minute section but who am I to pick and choose where God wants me to go. The local Salvation Army made contact with me and wanted to use us the following Sunday for a church service and a family afternoon concert. The morning service was great but the real reason God wanted us in Kalgoorlie was the afternoon concert as 10 young people gave their lives to Christ. What a great way to end the weekend. Click here to go to Barry's web site
That weekend was a fun time at Minlaton AOG sharing in local schools and with the local farmers sharing Gods love and encouraging them as Christians. Barry also shared his presentation of Shields.
Barry was so looking forward to the next trip as it was along the coastal road to Mount Gambier which was our next week of outreach. He was hoping for more chance to take more photos but it was as flat as the Nullarbor Plain. He wasn’t that impressed. He needs the right thing with the right light in the right place and that’s hard to find. We even saw road signs pointing to a lighthouse so we drove as fast as we could in the van. Yes we almost hit 90 KM per hour. VROOOM
We needed to be there before sunset and as we approached the first lighthouse we saw a light on a metal pole. That was the lighthouse we turned around and headed off. We got to a little town called Robe and parked on a seaside cliff but it wasn’t till morning that we saw a perfect place for Barry’s photos. It was beautiful - he took some great photos at Robe. The rest of the trip had nothing so we headed off to Mount Gambier Salvation Army. The one main disappointment in South Australia is that all RE or Christian classes have been closed down and so it was not easy getting into any government school. Christian schools were fine.
The weekend was a wonderful success. Not for souls but to lift the spirits of fellow Christians. Mount Gambier we found out is a very hard place spiritually and has been a struggle for years for all the churches. It’s like they all needed a laugh and so they got it.
For the past few months on my web site I have had a prayer need which was to find a trailer that was water tight and lockable and for free. I know that’s a big request but God knows what we need. I received a phone call from a guy on Adelaide who saw my need and said he had one and for us and to come and get it. Praise God. After the weekend outreach we drove back to Adelaide to hook up the trailer. It is the perfect size and exactly what was needed. We now headed along the Great Ocean Road where everyone was telling us it’s got the most wonderful sights for a photographer......NOT for Barry nooooo
All he liked was a waterfall and the 12 Apostles of which there are only 8 left. We kept driving and arrived at the next place early. Tyabb CRC Church Victoria. I stayed with my friends in the area and Barry used the week to catch up with relatives in Sunshine. The week was free as the church couldn’t get into any schools. We did a youth service and Church services. I shared my conversion story which is funny, encouraging and challenging. The title is ‘Two Blondes and a Broken Toe got me Saved’.
We were blessed to be there and have been invited back next year to do a community outreach with a few churches in the Essendon area.
Off to Ballan near Ballarat to work with the local Apostolic church and they managed a few schools which I was looking forward to on the upcoming Friday. I had 4 days to rest the ankle before the schools and concerts. Barry went bush to find whatever he could find and took with him his cans ham and baked beans. Poor creatures.
.Salvation Army Sagala Mission night
I was invited to share at the Tuggeranong Salvation Army Thursday night for their mission fund raiser. We had such a fun night with kids plus mums and dads.
....Victorian trip..June 25 - July 5 The Messups Puppets were booked at this time to perform a week of school holiday shows at the Sunshine Marketplace in Victoria. On the way God opened doors for ministry and we said yes. Bonnie was with me for this short trip and we had a great time together (no kids!!).
Bonnie and I stayed in our motorhome over the weekend in Numurkah which we hooked up at the back of the church building. We stayed on to take part in the Sunday morning service. Bonnie was also sharing. I was excited as working with Bonnie in ministry again has been a prayer of mine for a while now and I know God has been moving her back into this. We had Saturday off so Bonnie and I headed off looking for second hand/collectable stores which is our favourite thing to do when we are away. We found one and went in. The lady was busy trying to set up but was having difficulty as she has M.S. and couldn't do it easily. I offered to put the gear outside on the walk way for her.
Sunday morning was a very cold morning so we turned the heater up but we blew a fuse which not only turned our power in the van off but the whole church was turned off! It was only 6am and too early to call the Pastor (the church was locked and would stay that way until the musos turned up at 8.30am). At least we had our little gas cooker so we used that to stay warm and cook breakfast on before the service.
Sunday arvo we took off to Melbourne to set up the staging at the shopping centre – still a few niggles in the engine but we arrived in the right place in one piece. The caravan park was walking distance to the shopping centre so we didn’t have to drive at all during the week, but each day it got colder and colder so we ended up catching the bus everyday. Tuesday evening I was booked to speak at a Full Gospel Businessmens Fellowship dinner on the other side of Melbourne. It was a fantastic night as I was there to share my conversion story and what God is doing now in this ministry. Well my friends I’m fixing things up in the van over the next few weeks as I have a long outreach to South Australia, Kalgoorlie and Victoria in October and November. I’m looking forward to what God has in store. I just keep saying yes.
What about you?
Macksville trip 2010
We drove around to his house and well what else can I say they fixed the engine and now it has a tank that will get me a long way before I have to fill up again.
By the way the concert was a hoot, The Lord blessed all who was there plus myself and they want me to come back and go into the local schools.
I hope that this event encourages all of you who read this to realise God knows your needs now and in the future and is always getting things ready, but I believe only as long as you are on the road he wishes you to be on. If you are on another road then you will miss what he has organised.
Walk and be faithful, talk and be grateful.

Toowoomba Salvation Army weekend.
Hi all. In the last month what an adventure we have had. I was booked for a wonderful weekend outreach in Toowoomba Queensland. I thought it would be great to take the family. So we packed the Tarago and off we went, stopping at little towns on the way. We got 100 ks out of Towoomba and the Tarargo lost water and the engine was fried and is no longer. Praise God, as we came to a stop a young man pulled over to help and we were so glad he did. He had Telstra coverage and we only had Voda phone and no reception as usual. We called RACQ and they towed us to the next town. We handed the situation to God and said you want us there you make it happen.
We made contact with the Salvos and the Youth Leader came out to pick us up. We got to Toowoomba and set up in a house they had for us to use. At this time we said God its in your hands. we will focus on our job all the while trusting you will organise our car and the money for it. We did the shows and services with 10 giving their lives to Christ plus a new family into the church. Glory to his name.
Thankyou and Bless you. Dallas
Fitzroy Crossing ministry trip.
This was an amazing trip and to put it all into words is going to be hard but I'll do what I can.
A team of 12 people from our church (Capital Edge Community Church Canberra) were invited to the AOG Church in Fitzroy Crossing, WA not just to minister to the community but to work on the church building and grounds that had been damaged over time from floods, etc. Most went by air but 2 crazy guys drove the motorhome so more gear could be taken to FC.
It was a long drive with fun times and bouncing roads, camping on the side of the road in the motorhome when we could.
Once we arrived at FC we all got together to work out the weeks program, boy it was going to be busy. The church needed painting, the lights in the church had to be fixed and cleaned, the sprinkler system was to be dug into the ground and hooked up. rocks were removed, drive way was levelled and a lot of cleaning, eating ,cooking, washing and sleeping.
A few nights later I had the opppotunity to do a mini version of my show to the other 11 in the team and the Pastors family. I wanted to do that as I have never had a chance to perform at my own church. Too busy!!! Now they see what I do, well 11 do anyway.
We got to Luma and I had to set up to sing and play the choruses. The only light was a cross above my head which didn't help much. I got through it but it was hard to see the words and play, but Gods strength led me through it . It eventually was time to share a message, I was prepeared as God gave me a simple message to share and that's all you can do with the aboriginal people. There is no time for long drawn out sermons, just tell the truth tell it simple and let the Holy Spirit do his job. He sure did. I talked about facing God face to face not halfway or with your back to him. So at the end I asked all who wish to face God and walk the path he has set out for you to stand up and lets all face God together by facing the cross. Nearly all of them did, children, teens and adults.
We spent the next 15 minutes praying over them for whatever they asked for. Young people asking Jesus into their lives and more. No matter how hard it was to get there, to set up and perform, as long as you do it God will back you up.
Greetings Brothers and Sisters.
2011 has had an interesting start for me. Just before Christmas I went to sleep and woke up with my heart going into atrial fibrillation. At the time we didnt know so I just rested that day but when I woke up again and almost passed out, Bonnie (my wife) took me to the the docs and they sent me to the hospital. I was in casualty all day and then they tried shocking my heart back into rythm but that didnt work.
I ended up staying over night on some IV drip and that medicine out my heart back into the right rythm. eventually after all the tests over the past 2 months the Docs says that my last tour put a load on my body. I can see that as it was a full hectic tour and a lot of traveling. So for now just to take it a bit slower as Im not getting any younger.
Im no good to God as a worn out instrument. I look forward to this years ministry and meeting up with friends from past shows. God is good and extra-ordinary. dont want to be an ordinary person for God. I want to be extra- ordinary.
From the end of September till the end of November I have been on the road travelling, sharing God’s word where ever I could. A guy from my church, Barry Armstead, joined me on this long adventure. He is a magnificent photographer and he used this time to seek God and to take wonderful pictures of God’s creation. He was a great help with gear and the long driving we had to do on this trip.
Our first major booking was all the way over to Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Barry met up with me in Adelaide and we drove to Port Pirie and stayed at the local AOG church car park. This was a good time to set the motor home up for the upcoming weeks.
The following day we started the long drive towards the Nullarbor Plains but we went through a little town called Penong. Barry wanted to go and check out this little seaside town so we started to drive there but it was a dirt corrugated road and a very bad road at that. I said no way and turned the van around in this big driveway. As we got back to the main road we could smell something hot and not right.
We stopped and saw that a rock had flicked up and put a hole in the radiator. OK Lord, we need your help here. We were not prepared for that. We got the van up to this little park that we passed and set up there. I rang NRMA and praise God for his God instances. Where we turned around on the dirt road was the house of the only NRMA person in the area!
We spoke to him and the following morning Barry and I took out the radiator and walked it down to his place where he fixed it up and anything else that needed looking at.
Praise God it happened in the right town and right outside the house of the only person for miles who was able to fix it.
With a repaired radiator we were on the road again heading to the Nullarbor. Barry was hoping for a great place with the right cliffs and the right sunsets to take the most perfect photos. If you like them and appreciate God’s creation in them buy some and support what he is doing. We had a couple of days on the Nullarbor plains seeing some wonderful sights and some not so wonderful. How many dead kangaroos does one need to see? We saw many signs warning us of camels but never saw one, except cut out metal ones in a park.
WHOOPPEEEE care factor zero.
Sunday afternoon after the concert we had to head off back over the Nullarbor as I was booked in 3 days time to perform at some schools in South Australia. I slept in the van while Barry drove then we would swap over. At times stopping to take photos of things like, stars, salt lakes and cricket’s eyeballs.
We made it back to South Australia and headed to Kadina Christian School. Barry was invited back the following Monday after our time at Minlaton AOG to share his first presentation of his ‘Shields’ presentation.
If you haven’t seen that, invite him around your place. He charges only 3 cans of ham and baked beans but do not give them to him until he is about to leave your house for the sake of your nose.
You should hear it some time
Even though schools were hard to get into, God still used us in different ways to share with people and then we saw his blessing to us for not stopping. It was like everywhere we went it was the perfect time to be there and the perfect show for the people at the time. The day I was getting ready to leave I was walking along the patio in the rain and slipped over and twisted my ankle the worst I’ve ever done. In fact my foot was behind me almost reaching the back of my head. I laid there in the rain in such agony hoping someone would see me and help - but no. I crawled up to a chair and sat there, keeping my mouth closed from the things that wanted to come out. My foot swelled up like a balloon and I had to get focused as I still had a concert that night to prepare for. The worst thing was first I had to drive across Melbourne as Barry was not with me at the time. I trusted my GPS to get me to the next venue but as I was only 10 minutes away the GPS stopped working and I had no idea where I was. I rang my friend who guided me the rest of the way via the phone.
Someone didn’t want me to get to that concert. I hobbled into the church to meet Ps Tony and he prayed over the foot. Barry turned up and did the Army first aid on it – I also called in the Canberra prayer warriors to get me through... The only good part about it was I got out of bringing in the gear. The concert was a blast and my ankle held up. Other Pastors and church members came to the show and we all had a wonderful night. Barry again presented Shields. The following morning we did the church service and then that night we put on a special Christmas party night and rocked the night away.
We’re are now home. I’m still hobbling around as my ankle gets better. But the one thing I shared to all on this trip was the two most important words in the Bible that begin with the letter J are Joy and Jesus . These two words need to go together more often than they do in our lives. If people see the Joy in you they will want to know why, and the why is Jesus.
Put them together in your life today.
Blessings and thanks for your prayers and other support. I look forward to 2011

Ministry update 2010
Thursday 5 August Canberra
It was a time for a laugh and I also felt in my Spirit a good time to just get across to all how important it is that we not only say we know Jesus but to live it.
The team at the Corps are doing an amazing job with these kids.
Ministry update 2010
Victorian Trip..June 25 - July 5
Friday night at Numurkah AOG Church I was asked to speak and perform at their street kids youth group. These were tough loud street kids. In the first 10 minutes fights where breaking out with leaders trying to put a stop to the brawls. It took me back to my time before receiving Christ – they we doing exactly what I had done. As things settled I moved into my comedy acts and songs with a bit of heckling from the sides but I felt the Holy Spirit filling me as I talked. Looking around there were all ages of kids from about 8 yrs up to 16 yr olds.
They laughed and sometimes joined in and at other times you could hear a pin drop. At the end I didn't do a salvation call but just a simple challenge to come after the show and speak to me. As I waited with the youth leader thinking no one is going to approach us two girls came forward and one asked Christ into her heart for the first time and soon after that 5 of the main ‘tough’ guys surrounded me and just asked question after question. The questions they asked where important ones. They were what I call seeking questions, not sarcastic as you may expect, but they showed interest and two of them were very close to wanting Christ.
As we got deeper into our talk another boy came over and dragged them away. They thanked me not only with words but with their youth hand shake. I believe God got through and all we can do now is pray for them at this time. The Pastor later filled us in about these boys and we know that they are in good hands. I pray Lord reach these hearts and souls for your glory.
That got us talking and eventually we found that she had a Christian faith and we shared with each other and then I felt in my Spirit to pray for her and healing. So I said yes and she said yes and we prayed there in the middle of the shop. We stayed and talked more and passed her details onto the Pastor for follow up. She had been looking for a church that had a later service as it was hard for her to get going in the mornings.
Then the weirdest thing happened as we left her shop, we got back into the van and Bonnie’s seat belt got locked on and would not release. (It would have been funnier if she was in it at the time….) It took about half an hour of frustration just to release it so we could get driving to Shepparton. As we started to drive into Shepparton the van started to run rough and bounce around. I pulled over had a look around but I’m no mechanic (am I Craig!) so we called RACV and an hour later we were told dirt and sludge in the fuel was causing this problem. Lord, all we did was pray for a sick lady and we have to go through this after it? The day has all gone now, so we get a bottle of stuff to add to the petrol and we are up and running again.
The morning service was great even though for some reason my computer crashed at the start of my section but Bonnie jumped in and shared first, then my turn. It was a great encouraging morning for all. Just in that short time God blessed us, used us and the devil wasn’t happy at all. We said yes and God moved. Glory
I did share one comical song as I felt it was right and it was. Afterwards I offered a salvation challenge and invited anyone to come forward for prayer and God moved mightily and for the next hour Bonnie and I were praying with men and and their wives for a range of things. I pray now that God moves on these people and answers their needs and he be glorified out of it.
Not long ago I headed up to the Coffs Harbour area to minister into the Macksville township with the local Salvation Army Corps.
The following weekend I was booked to perform at the Armidale Corps but they had to postpone as there was Youth Councils happening. (Youth Councils is their youth outreach weekend).
Bonnie and I wondered if it was worth travelling so far for such a small time but we came to the conclusion "who are we to pick and choose what God wants me to do?" As long as we are fathful he will answer somehow, some way.
Since we have had our motorhome there has been something we have been looking for and praying for. A bigger petrol tank is needed as the one on the bus only takes 45 litres which isn't much in such a large vehicle. I found filling it up constantly was very tedious.
We searched as many places as possible and even had the wreckers searching Australia wide but nothing turned up.
Off I went to Macksville stopping in to see my parents on the way. I must catch up with my father as much as I can as he has Alzheimers.
I arrived in a very wet and miserable Macksville and stayed at our uncles place on the farm. Phil and I talked about finding a tank and so he rang one local place and they informed him that they had a handful out the back of their complex. So we got the measurments and headed off. Now the tank has to fit in one area between two parts of the chassie or it won't fit. God knew this beforehand - I tell you!
We went around the back and the first tank we came across was a black cylinder tank. Phil gets the tape measure out finds that it is 10mm shorter than the area needed so that was perfect plus it still had the original brackets connected on it. But would they fit the chassie of the bus? We didn't know but God knew exactly.
We bought the tank without looking at any others. It was in perfect condition as it had only just been taken off another bus. That night after removing the old tank we lined up the brackets on the new one. They fitted perfectly to the chassie. Four bolts were put in on each bracket and slowly we pushed the cylinder up. If it was any larger say 10mm it would not have fitted. So Praise God for his provision and the finances to buy it there and then. Plus it had to be in the right place to be fixed - on the farm Phil had all the equipment to do the job.
The following day the engine was tuned beautifully and we were happy as larry who ever he is. I drove it to church but when I arrived it was sounding really sick. I did the sunday school session and church service and as I was packing up I heard two guys talking about tappets and I knew that was mechanic talk. I walked up thinking "Is this God organising something again?" I asked, "Are you a mechanic?" He hesitated and said yes. So I informed him of the problem and he came out to the van to have a look. It seemed it was the carburettor was mucking up. Some kind of air leak. Anyway he has a look and says "I hate Fords!" as it is a Ford Falcon 6 cylinder in the bus. As he metions how good Holdens are he stops and looks closer at the carburettor. He pipes up saying that he has a gasket set for a Ford thats been sitting around his house for ages and it looks like it's for this carbie. Phil asked if he knewwhere it was and he said he found it two days ago and didn't know what to do with it. God at work before I arrived.
